Never seen one of these before but how cool is this?

1972 Opel GT - Stock #885

Like a SWB Manta on steroids!

Were these available in RHD?

Mechanically the GT is essentially an Ascona/Manta. That particular example is a shed though...

looks crappy to be honest, couple of guys I knew in the late 80's had some really cool Opals...

Mate of mine had one, best bit was the headlights, you pull a handle and they flip over.

These are LHD only, although a few have been converted to RHD. This one is a shed and looks all wrong! If you go to the VBOA (Vauxhall Bedford Opel Association) meeting at Billing in the summer you'll see some fine examples. The best one I've ever seen was a red RHD V8 powered beauty, looked like a mini Corvette or Dino.
