Default Decent tyres for the family car

I'm looking to get the front tyres replaced on the GF's Ford Focus.

195 60 R15

Trouble is because I've never bought tyres for this kind of car before I'm not too sure what brands / models are best.

They don't do Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymettrics in 15"
Obviously search isn't much use either and that includes a standard Google search!

So far and I'm only guessing possibles are Toyo Proxy CF1 or Goodyear Excellence...

Can anyone provide any help?
Cheers

Any good brand would be OK, Goodyear, Bridgestone, Michelin.

Goodyear Eagle F1 (GSD3) - Lovely and not harsh - superb in wet.

Conti Sport Contact 3s are superb and last forever.
No other tyre beats them in the wet and Kwik Fit often do a full set cheaply (I got 225/45 17" for £95 each - bargain).

Eagle F1s are great too - cheaper but wear a lot quicker.

Just put some Goodyear Duragrip ones on the front of a 206 and they were a big improvement over the nasty that were on there. Its stopped under steering completely and actually has vast amounts of over steer with the still very thick treaded ones on the back. So they seem quite good to me.

Errmm - sorry you can't get either in 15". I had 15" F1s on my mk3 Gti 16v but they must have stopped them.
Blackcircles.com have some good deals on Toyos (very good rubber) as well as other models of Goodyear and Conti. I tried a direct link but it doesn't work!

I paid £260 fitted for 4 x 205/55/16 Eagle F1s to give an idea of price - surprised they don't do the 15s though. Shame

Cheers Chocco,

Just checked as I have Camskill as a favourite.

This I'm going to get the Toyo CF1, gets good results.

Camskill price £40.00
Blackcircles price £35.93

Appreciate the replies fellas!
