Question Has anyone here heard of propane injection ?.

This idea is for turbo diesel engines and apparently 99% of the diesel is combusted.Anyone here had this fitted and can you tell me the pro's and con's of it please.

Over on seatcupra.net, in the TDI forums, there's a bloke (Devonutopia) running propane, NOS and water injection on a very, very heavily modded Skoda Fabia, dynos at 260 bhp ....

Link to a dyno run here: YouTube - Skoda Fabia TDI-Diesel Dyno run at 260bhp! 4th not top gear

Edited to add -- I think that LPG can be used just as effectively as propane

I've only heard of it as dieselgas, primarily used for trunking operations (tractor units) where LPG is used in various mixes (80/20, 70/40) etc to reduced emissions and improve economy.

Effectively, its a piggy back injection system that substitutes diesel for LPG and significantly reduces costs. 55ppl compared to 120ppl.

No experience of cars though.
