Default MOT HELP with a 306 diesel turbo

Had to get one of these the other day as I sold my Impreza, then bought another which had head gasket problems so took that back.

Only problems I can see to get through the MOT are:

Airbag light continuously flashes.

2 fog on the front bumper don't work.

Are the above MOT failures?

NO

The front fogs are not required for MOT only the rear and the car doesn't need to have an air bag .. cant you just pull the fuse for the day so it doesn't flash ??

No worries then..

try and re connect the orange connectors under both seats ,and if that fails carefully cut the wires and connect them with some new connectors and it will solve your airbag light.Front fog lights not working will not come in to an MOT.

Disconnect the battery and wait 20 mins before doing this, and DO NOT USE any form of voltage or circuit checker on these lines!!!!!!

Are you running on veg yet? Any 306 turbo pre 99 and on a Bosch pump loves the stuff

Will help with your emissions on the MOT too.

I'm running the Paj on veg. The 306 takes to it great. Asdas do a 20 litre tub at 97p a litre, you could find cheaper at Costcos etc.

Can you let me know where I can get a pump from and what else I need to do with the oil I buy from Asda please. Someone told me I might need to add meth to it.

+ anything else you can think of please.

You don't need a pump, all you might have to do is change the fuel filter after a few hundred miles as the veg cleans all the gunk out. You will be able to just pour the new veg oil into your tank, especially in summer. During colder periods either mix 10% petrol with the veg or run on 50-50 diesel/veg.

Have a hunt for some veg oil forums on Google for more info, but generally a pre 99 306 should have a Bosch pump and be compatible with veg.

Start off with a low mix and gradually ramp it up.
