there isnt a chance gordon brown is gonna beat me out of my scooby, its a 1996 escort Diesel
£350 90,000 miles on clock
does over 50 mpg so from costing me £20 a day to come work its gonna cost me around £8
scooby is now just for playing
anyone else just buying a cheap diesel runabout for work

So you saving £12 a day on petrol.
However you have to tax (170 per year), insure (200-300ish?) and run (£250est) another car. I wonder how long it will be before you see a payback?
Clearly you'll save a small amount of depreciation due to miles on your Subaru.

170+200+350 = 720 thats not including fuel divide by 12 = £60 a month
add fuel of 120 a month thats £180 plus i will be running 30/70 veg oil later.
scooby is costing around £340 in fuel just for work and i was at least 14,000 miles a year on scooby.
so im saving £160 a month and not putting stupid miles on my pride and joy
