hi all,
got a problem with wifes car.its a 2000 renault megane 1.6 sport.the rear wiper will not switch off.had to disconect at motor.anyone got any ideas as to cause.mot due after christmas need to sort out quickly.like to repair myself if possible if not have to take to garage.thanks in advance.billy

Not sure about Megane's but it'll either be the switch or the relay at a guess. If its a stalk on the collum it'll be fun to fix! Have a look at the relays see if there is anything marked up as rear wiper and then see if any of the other relays are the same, if they are try swopping them see if its the relay.

I'd think that it may well have a fault in the wiper motor itself mate, an internal fault bridges the feed from the windback pin and causes it to run all the time, thats whats happens here at vw anyway!!

I could be wrong but i dont think Rear wiper is covered under MOT regulations, so i wouldnt be too worried if you dont get it fixed by then.
