Try asking in the insurance section, there are people who work in the industry there.

Why don't you ask moleywrx aka garymoulson@hotmail.com he will no doubt be able to give you an answer straight away. He works for an insurance company, you can probably find their telephone number in the INSURANCE FORUM as they are a sponsor.

Also if you establish contact with him, next time you have an insurance group question you won't need to spam up 'Other Marques' with a completely off topic post.

I've just given you the information you need to get the insurance group of the car you are interested in.
I also politely pointed out for the second time in as many days that there is an insurance section you can ask questions of this nature in.
This area is called 'other marques' and is for discussion of 'other marques' rather than simple insurance group questions.
As for what you post having nothing to do with me as a responsible and helpful member of scoobynet it's my pleasure to point you in the right direction and also try to keep the forum free of off topic spam.

Hope that helps

You don't need to get a quote in order to ask the person I've linked you to what insurance group the car is. He has a reputation for being helpful. Maybe you could try asking him if you want an answer?
Failing that have you considered asking on a mini owners forum?

Ask in the right place and you'll probably get an answer.

Don't say I don't do anything for you

Hopefully that's constructive enough of a reply for you.

Now if it was me, I'd google 'insurance group search' and use the link to the ABI from there.

Why would you do that when you can get helpful people like Nacro to do it for you?

Exactly why bother to type in a few words into a google search or use the forum provided here when you can spam up 'Other marques' and provide me with 5 minutes of fun?

The guy is a t!t!! I don't like the guy since he judged me without knowing me!!

He was sending me messages calling me whining old trout and that he feel's sorry for my boyfriend and basically being an arrogant, obnoxious d!ck, trying to make me feel small and stupid!! What a suprise he's been banned again!!

I'm sure he has a record of all the abusive private messages you sent as well, not that any of his were abusive I'm sure

I note you still haven't had the good manners to thank him for answering your question.

I've only driven a modded Cooper S pushing 230bhp and it was great. The GP has LSD as well so it can only be better. Not that practical as an all round day to day car.
They feel nimble and the acceleration is adequate if not mind blowing. Main problem as far as I can see is build quality which is rubbish and the fact they didn't make many of the GPs so they still command a hefty premium.

the ex had a cooper S, I thought it was a scream - feel much quicker than they are, think is cos they are so small! Great fun as I say, but wouldn't like to drive one everyday - not been in the tricked out versions, but I'm guessing that they will be even more of a pain for everyday driving!!

I really like the cooper s, I test drove one before getting my Type-R and thought it was loads of fun to drive!!..

I think the GP edition for a 2006 model you'd be looking around 19-22k, but they hold there value due to them being a bit of a collectors item..

I must admit, I'm not a Mini fan, but the GP edition one is the only Mini I would own. Out of all the 5th Gear competitions, the GP Mini was the one I really wanted to win.

Too much money though.

I agree, maybe a little pricey for the size of car but it will hold its value as do most mini's!..
