what gives more oversteer toe in or out ?
#1
Toe in to a certain extent will increase the chance of oversteer.
I had my scoob toed in by 1mm and that cut out the nasty understeer I was getting and gave me a bigger bias to oversteer.

Not that I am an expert, but it might be worth playing around with the tyre pressures at the rear, as this can effect the under/oversteer IIRC. Also don't the EVO VII's have the Snow/Gravel adjustable Diff thingy, might be worth checking that it is operating/set correctly. Again I stress I'm no expert just trying to help with a couple of suggestions

Sam,
Cant help directly but I know a man who can!
Get in touch with Tim Ashton at www.btrprep.com. He knows Evo's inside out and should be able to offer advice.
They ran an Evo7 at the Network-Q or whatever its called. Pics on their web site.

thanks very much boys and girls.
jerry i really did not understand your post. more toe in at the back should that not give more oversteer?
butyou are right about learning how to drive
ian, the 7 has tarmac, gravel and snow settings. in tarmac (dry) it mainly rear bais, gravel (wet) it almost handles like a well sorted out scoob ie with just a little understeer, while snow it is like a front drive car. all the driving in the wet is done in the gravel.
haword thanks for the link it looks interesting
sam
ps i can't believe i did not get any reply in the MLR and got 4 in scooby net!!!!!!!!! very ironic me thinks

Sam,
Didn't see the post on the MLR...
From memory, at the front toe out = oversteer, toe in = understeer
at the back, toe out = understeer, toe in = oversteer
Any non-zero toe decreases straight-line stability and changes tyre-wear patterns (however slightly)

hi there
i have just had my EVO 7 set up to the ralliart set up which basically left the camber the same 1.25 -ve camber all around. it had 1mmtoe in at the front changed to 0mm parellel. the rear toe in was increased from 1mm to 3mm.
but the car seem oversteer even more now .
so the question is does the increased toe in at the back increase the oversteer?
these setting that ralliart gave me 0 toe in at the front,3mmtoe in at the back is what they use for the evo 6 i think the evo7 may be completely different as it have a different suspension. does anyone have any experience with this.
i have posted this on MLR but no response.

Could you describe when oversteer arrives, and in which circumstances?
Toe-in in the rear will make it less prone to power on oversteer, toe-in up front will give the front end more bite on turn-in.
A wee bit of toe out up front would prolly calm it down for you, the downside it'll be a tad skittish in a straight line.
