dont think youll get flamed mate,a lot of folk appreciate the special nature of a proper 3 door cossie, how many D reg cars can command that sort of respect is it a proper cosworth shell or a 1.6l you started with? And more pics

Funking awesome mate,

As you're based in Essex, how slim are my chances of getting a Pax lap in it sometime?

Im an ex cossie owner and closet cossie lover lol

Ok..stay with me as i try to condense a few years into one post/reply..

Started with a good 3 door road car and stripped it bare

Then done most of the fabrication prior to paint which included having to make a Tank

and then cover it

Bias pedal box as the 3 door servo stuff was not what i wanted for the track

and by running a bias pedal box the shell had a little mod to stop it flexing and bending

Then she was off for paint..at this stage i had to choose a colour and i didnt want to paint it Blue/black/white to be like every other 3 door so i came up with "grey" its audi TT nimbus grey and imho works really well in the flesh

While the paint was getting sorted we started to build the Engine (HT Racing) and i have a reliable 380bhp (on the Dyno) running a T34 turbo and Motec management with seimens injectors and a nice ported head...Which will be fine for setting the car up and getting it bedded in for a future upgrade.

Back from the painters and its full steam ahead with fitting it back up.

Made engine mounts as the standard ones are more for road use ..

Slotted home the heart

Made some top mounts

And got some Gartrac legs which are made for a group 4 escort so i had to run different hubs as the bottoms are wider (granada hubs)

Dash has been flocked and a good mate has just started making carbon stuff so i was choosen as a guinea pig which has been nice touch..

Theres clearly loads i have missed off but you get the ruff picture..
Its currently just waiting for the Motec loom to be finished off and its ready to rock and roll..

awesome car man, but personally i'd loose the carbon door cards.
Should the worst happen and you have an off, the carbon will shatter into razor sharp shards and spray the entire interior. Not a problem for the interior, but a big problem for you when they embed themselves in your skin. Once they're in there, they aint coming out!

Nice car

I had an engine built by HT for one of my Escorts in the late 80's, I did not realise they were still going.
