Default alfa sportwagon

I have fell in love with the look of the above car,
Anybody here own one , good or bad all info would be apreciated

What year is it mate. My sister just sold her 51 plate (pre-front facelift) and it was 3 years of trouble. Even after religous Alfa (knowle-solihull) servicing it was still a piece of sh*t and drove like an old nissan taxi. Gearbox failed, clutch,airbag,ecu, aircon,and then the engine mounts went. Mate just like a young itallian bird, great when they are young and firm, but hit 30 you better get the builders in to open up the door ways. LEAVE WELL ALONE.

I went to have a look at the 159 Sportwagon at Poole Alfa Romeo at the weekend.

I lifted up the boot floor (trying to establish if there was a full size spare or a space saver) and the handle came off in my hand.

I presented it to the salesman on my way out..........

thanks so far, keep em coming ! its a 2004 diesel , 32000 miler from a dealer in London, I have always like the idea of an alfa , but have they changed their reliability issues ?

I've had 3 Alfas in the past - 2 of which were sportwagons. Got to say I didn't have any problems with any of them - but others have. It's a bit of a lottery!

I am self employed so reliability is so important, my current 52 reg WRX has 72000 miles on the clock and its been perfect ! will I lose that confidence ?
