Has anyone had a chance to test a chipped 330d? I'm interested to know what the mid range performance of one of these is considering they have around 225 hp and 400 ftlbs torque?

Cheers

I have, and the difference is noticable. I seriously considered either the Van Aaken or Superchips for my 330d until I was informed that any chipping (or even the 'undetectable' download) would be detected as soon as the car went in for its next service and the warrenty would be voided. Now whilst my 330d has been faultless so far, you don't **** away a 3 year warrenty on a £35k BMW! So I bought a 340bhp/tonne westfield instead

Some Dealers are more tolerant than others especially if it's a decent chip and not dodgy one, Superchips??. I've driven a Van Arken 330d which I believe had around 230 bhp and over 300 lb ft of torque..very nice and amazingly quick. In some places it was quicker than my M3..gulp!

Thought about getting mine chipped, but decided against it having heard one or two stories about Warranties being void etc. Kinda tempting though

Had the inlet manifold on mine go bang just before Christmas. Straight into the BMW Garage and returned 2 working days later. No Problem. Would it have been the same had I got it chipped ......................
