Unhappy Broken Down Konnisegg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the hotel where my wife works,an 07 plated one it had a lead plugged into the mains going to the car, WTF would that be about!!!!!!!!!!!

Nah, this thing had a great big plug type thing and plugged in the side of the car.

The McLaren f1's could be connected to the phone line and and faults corrected/diagnosed down the phone. Might be something like that.

It's a security precaution. You put the other end in your pocket and if you feel a tug you know your car has been nicked!

It may be for a pre-heater,it warms the engine prior to driving.

Quite a lot of cars do have oil heaters for people who live in colder climates (sweeden, canada etc), would not have thought it needed to be plugged in unless the temps fall well below 0c.

If it was blue it signifies 240v though.. all in all a bit odd!

Could have been a private stash of bioethanol being pumped into the car ...1000bhp or thereabouts!

A warm engine and gearbox will always wear less and perform better than a cold engine, these cars are renowned for having a heavy gearbox until they warm up.

My SAAB has the option of an engine pre heater that runs off the mains with a big chunky plug on it.

If you have the cash for one of these things any optional extra is posiible.
