I've just been given one (for free), late 90's

Needs some work, hear renaults are unreliable...

Inside is very tidy, so if engine is pure fkkered, will break it

I had one many moons ago ....worst car ive ever owned by some margin.
The one I had was nearly new when we bought it and spent most of the first year in the garage having various things fixed including replacing all of the front suspension which never really cured a bad pulling problem.
The boot ha a leak which Renault could never fix and the petrol flap release failed a few times. All this coupled with really bad service from the main dealer have put me off Renault's for life.

I have had 2 of these, my last one went for 2 years without any servicing and flew through its mot

my parents have a 1997 renault laguna 2 litre, on a 180,000 miles and everything still works fine and most things are the original parts.

not a great handling car but very nice over long distances, renaults sport division should get their hands on the new ones if the new clio and megane sports are anything to go by.
