Default quickish diesel for acouple of grand

looking for another runaround for acouple of grand as the 2.5 omega is too slow and wobbly

would like another 330d but have not got the funds atm

Ford mondeo TDCi should fall into your bracket, or just chip the omega
Other options are the older vw TDi engined cars, but you wont find many of the new common rail engined cars for 2k (except the mondeo )

You'll probably only get the 110bhp pre-PD VAG motors for that money ...

BUT they are as reliable as a housebrick and you can remap them for under £200, which takes them to 130+bhp and 300nm / 230lb-ft so they go well point-to-point.

The early Octavia Tdi 110s are in this sort of price bracket, possibly late Mk3 Golfs and Ibizas.
