The recent "Driven" comparison between the X-type the Audi A4 and the BMW 3 series, didn't rate the X-type very highly either.

Still, its not really a Jag as most parts are borrowed from Fords Mondeo V6....

Just got a mag from Oz and they panned the X-type too...

IS300 by a hair on the 330i coz of the price differential in Oz (plus a couple of other points like build quality, overall refinement and reatained vaule :eek: ). All in Aussie refernce terms natch.

Oh, well, guess I'll have to wait for someone to work out that a good quality interior (versus just design) and better all around package at a reasonable price is needed in the market. Ooops - that would be my Legacy ;)

Seriously though, I was expecting a better result over time for the Jag - even hoping for it (as an well packaged, excellent handling, awd, mid size exec is AWOL in the market place).
