If you mean the 1.8T then 30 mpg is realistic as i can get that out of my Octy

Its normally about 25/27 though as i cant help give it some loud pedal over a full tank of juice

A friend has an Audi S3 225, and that averages about 30 mpg. High 30's-low 40's when motorway cruising, and into the high-teens/low 20's through more interesting roads.

Unless you fit a straight through Blueflame exhaust like I did and a few other choice mods

Obviously depends on how hard you drive it, my mrs gets around 300-320 miles out of a tank, considerably less if I ever drive it

My remapped Octavia vRS can be squeezed up to over 40 mpg on a long run, normally day to day it gives over 30 mpg.

Thrashed to within an inch of its life round Knockhill I got it down to 7.8 mpg

Still think the 3.2v6 sounds nicer no 4 pot sounds as good as a V6 IMO although as you said ive heard the blueflame sounds nice on the 1.8T. However as this is a MPG thread i would say the TT is very reasonable as i mentioned high 20's mine currently reads 28.8 combined motorway and town got 360 miles from the 62 litres tank and this is a roadster so is heavier.

The V6 sounds great

Ultimately, though, the 1.8T is more economical and more tweakable
