Default Mk5 Golf GTi - Which Remap + Filter

Guys,

As above really....What remaps would you recommend? (Jabbasport etc) and any particular panel filters that VAG's tend to like?

Would really like to get the torque up on the golf.. Make it a bit more or a force to be reckoned with, even though its a cracking car to drive already.

Any info greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Al

RICA remap and green cotton panel filter IMO.

Chip Tuning Scotland

I have used this company for years, tuned all my cars!

265hp/266lb/ft from remap

P.S 2000 post - yay!
P.P.S I won the 2005 Tuner GP diesel drag strip challenge in a RICA tuned Skoda Fabia.

Be careful if its DSG (most tuners should know the 'safe' torque limits of this box)

The DSG was the only thing that stopped me getting my Golf remapped

I imagine the DSG is the same in the GTI and R32 ... so it should be good for the 250bhp and 240lbft of the R32 plus a reasonable safety margin that VW would have built into it, sai another +10% at least?

True a few of the guys on UKMKIV's have got about 270/270 some more, not sure if I'd want to get that closer to the limit on a box that will cost £5k to replace

Having said that VAGTECH have 400/400 V6 TT which has DSG

Its just got the manual box guys. Thanks for the info. Probably gonna go for the REVO at Star Performance, or a JABBASPORT at BedrockVeedubs.

Anyone got any opinions on either of these maps?

Thanks again. AL
