Going for a permanent job (been contracting 10 years) so going to get a company car, will not be doing lots of business miles, in fact most will be personal, annual milage will be around 16-18k. Need ot keep the car 3 years.

The DC5 has to go as it is wasted on the motorway plus it's just clocking up the miles

The drive to work is all M-Way, 40 miles each day, I have an allowance of around £500 per month, I would like to keep my tax down as I'm in the 40% bracket but I want something fast and enjoyable to drive. I was looking at the S3 but by the time it is specced up it's a fairly high monthly ammount, the Civic type R is coming in cheap but still quite high on emmissions.

Anyone been down this road recently?
