New Mini Waiting List?
Just curious about new Minis - any ideas on delivery times?
(I know. I could just ring a dealer, but the thought of speaking to a Mini salesman sends shudders down my spine )

I ordered the wifes new cooper early Feb and it arrived last week in march. I was told i got the second to last allocated to my local dealer and after the last there were no more until June or July.
The salesman aren't too bad as there isn't much haggling, as discount on Mini's is like finding a pile of rocking horse sh*t.
They are there to simple tick the options boxes and take your cash.

J4ACKO - I could just get one on PCP and avoid the dealers
Nik - did you try different dealers? I guess this is only worth it if you have a P/ex - there may be some movement in the trade in? Any thoughts on the Cooper? I'm thinking of one for my wife as well

I didn't try another dealer as there are no others local, besides i doubt any dealers off discount on list as the cars are still in high demand.
As for the trade in my local dealer doesn't stock other used brands so the sell on to local garages so its down to what they are prepared to pay for it.
One option you must go for is a Chili pack, this gets you a whole list of extras over the standard cooper and helps resale also.
The car itself is great so far, high quality and the handling is spot on.
Although the ride is firm, its not uncomfortable which i believe older minis suffered from.
We are already planning the next one which says it all really.
