hi guys at the mo building a pulsar gtir track only car and need a tow car to trailer it to tracks. i have spent all my money on the pulsar lol so looking for a cheap one prob max of around £2000. what can i look for that will be a good tow car but also a decent car to drive everyday lol. a bit of street cred would be nice also as im only 21. been thinking mostly towards 4x4s but any1 got any ideas. v8 4x4 would be nice, altho diesel looks more likely, has to be turbo diesel tho. dont mind buyin off ebay to increase the chance of gettin summin half decent for my measly 2k lol. any suggestions welcome. cheers

If you look outside the usual popular brands you will get better value, this looks a stormer for the price going to have to be quick though!

Peugeot 406 HDi estate , I have one to tow my track car around , loads of room for tools and spares with the seats down , plenty of go , and tows really well at silly speeds if needed , and within your £2k budget

Stay away from the trooper( the later ones)they have had tons and tons of factory recalls and after mine had been in the dealer for 8 weeks,and the dealer then refused to do anymore work on any of them,I got rid.
