Ford Focus 2003 estate - water coming in at rear of roof headlining from rear washer
Hi
The wife's Ford Focus Estate 2003 has yesterday put a load of water down the n/s rear pillar ( before the boot lid ) and wet the roof lining / pillar trim, and pooled in the n/s tool etc. pocket behind the boot pocket.
Sounds like the rear washer jet feed is split or com adrift if there is a connection before the boot lid, so water is just pumping over the roof headlining and down the pillar.
I checked the area around the jet and in the boot lid by pulling off panels and connector covers, all OK there. So it is water from rear washer getting into room space over n/w window.
Any help / ideas? Bit hard to get off roof lining and door trim ... wife moaning I may mark it / damage it / it not fit right!
Cheers
Neil

Had a similar problem with water on a sierra, was not the rear wash but the sunroof water removal channels (for want fo a better expression) it had a FFSR and the channes blocked and the water ran out the the sunroof casette onto the lining.

Same problem on my Mondeo.
There is a plastic angle adaptor behind the trim on the rear pillar.
If the jet is blocked or frozen it blows the pipe of the angle adaptor.
You will need to take the trim off.

Cheers Lee, took off the panels around n/s rear door and boot, and lowered roof lining - there was a corrugated short hose going to water jet in boot lid, that was seperated from the soft flexible hose from the washer bottle, and that was the source of the water!
10 mins later, all sorted!
