Talking 25K Budget for covertable ?????????

Ideally looking for something that is either new - upto 2 years old with low mileage - can be 2/4 seater - reasonably sporty / quick with good resdiuals ...

so 2nd hand we are looking at all the usual suspects
BMW 3 series
Audi A4
BMW Z4
Honda S2000

New - TT although really trying to stretch to a new one !!

Missing anything ????????

Cheers..........

I'd go for an Audi A4 TDI:

Audi : 2005 (05) Audi A4 2.5TDI S Line Cab.

Audi A4? This man said sporty.

I wouldnt spend £25k on an S2000 considering you can buy very very clean examples (2004/2005 plate) for less than £20k.

Same goes for all the cars you listed.

Guess he may want the remaining warranty?

They are all dull apart from the Honda.

Out of that lot, you only need consider either the Z4 or the S2000. The others are a compromise and suffer from scuttle shake as they waddle round corners thus negating any advantage of having the additional space.

Classic 900 convert and keep the other 15-20k. Spend some at Abbots and you have a fast car that won't look dated next year. Not within your specified requirements, clearly, but that's the last decent looking convertible made for my money, Elise and some supercars excepted.

Do you really want to clatter along in a diesel A4? Diesel may be sensible, but surely convertibles are not about being sensible?
