Default E39 M5 Sat Nav disk

Uncle has just picked up a 2000 e39 m5 with a yr 2000 Sat Nav disk. Anyone know how easy it is to get an updated disk without buying it from BMW ? Also does the later disk improve the graphics as they are rather naff !

He was lucky to find a m5 with 40k genuine miles that is a facelift car, not that he was aware it was a facelift, angel eyes and wide screen etc. Wasnt cheap at 17k but he went for the mileage.

Thanks
J

Jase,

These come up on ebay pretty regularly. Do a search. It'll be CD based IIRC on a 2000 car. I don't think that the DVD based nav came in until 2002 ish.

Cheers
Matt
