Thumbs up I've just gone and done it ..

Got the gearbox out of the Micra tonight!!

It was a bugger to get off the dowels .... but it now sits in the boot of the Scooby - I'll do some calls tomorrow, see if someone can look at it and tell me whats wrong with it and if it's worth fixing!

I've still got it ...... even in my advancing years!

Feels good .............

Well, update ... for those who give a ****

Took the box to my local transmission bloke this morning and he split it in half - bits of bearing splattered all over the place!!

Pinion bearing had broken up .... luckily the gears are fine - a small chip off one tooth on the Pinion Gear, nowt to worry about - so, new bearing, new oil feed, and some new oil and jobs a good 'un!!

Put a new clutch on - reassemble box - put advert in paper!
