Default Clio 172/182 running high mileage examples

Does or has anyone run a high (er) mileage examples of these i.e. 60k +

They seem a bargain now for what you get - loads of phase 1 examples for 4k, do they get better with age or do they carry on falling to bits.

thanks in advance chaps.

cheers

I have had 3 Clios in the past and none of the 3 let me down once.

I currently have a clio as the daily commute, but I also use it to travel to meetings. In the past 2 yrs and 30k since I have had it it has not let me down at all. I had to replace the front wheel bearings but I am sure we would all agree that this would come down to wear and tear.

Go for it!

They pick up faults like all cars do. In my experience, Scoobs are no more reliable than Clios. They just have less rattles. A mk1 Clio 172 is a great little motor. As long as you like silver.

How bullet proof are the engines?
