02 Clio 1.4 16v - Pencil coils/plugs problem?
Anybody have any experience of above ?
I have Googled some results, but now trying to find out how to conclusively prove it is pencil coils/ignition leads (plugs only 5k old)
This seems to be the most common problem with lumpy running, lower (by 250 rpm) idle and less power, although there is also some suggestion of TDC sensor fault, wiring/insulation fault and 02 sensor(!)
No fault lights are shown.
Can you check each coil/lead for resistance? if so, what should the reading be?
How can you check the TDC sensor? and its location.
I have OBD II that I can use on 54 uk sti (ie standard OBDII) I have had a look under the dash on Clio, but can't see anything obvious? Can I use this?
Be grateful for any help, gotta use the Scoob for work 'til I get this fixed.
It's an 80 mile round trip to work everyday
