Some pics from Bedford today...a good mix of cars
Last open pit at Bedford for this year, and although fairly quiet a nice mix of cars turned up...CSL's, Scoobys and Evo's, Elises, Caterhams, a Ferrari, a range of Porsches including a couple of GT3's, a Noble, S2000's, CTR's...the list goes on.
Perfect weather, nice and damp in the morning, glorious sun all day with a dry line in the afternoon.
Had serious fun learning the limits of the M5, it's such a long car you can really drift it at will once you learn the break away and balance points. Delightful steering feel, incredibly good damping, zero understeer...the only weak spot was the brakes, as always on M cars.
Had a close call on the noise regs with the H&S exhaust but scraped through. I have some vid footage also including an Elise that span right in front of me, I'll post it up tomorrow.
Enjoy.

Scott, yeah looking good
I just wish I could drive and take photos at the same time. Unfortunately none of mine are particularly dramatic. The best is probably this one:

I like it because you can see the sheer force being put on the inside tire, plus a really subtle piece of correctional lock.

Yes it was beautiful, he started having some fun with it when everybody left towards the end, trying to get them back end out. Obviously he spun quite a few times but I can think of many other places where you have the chance to take your car over the limit in such a safe environment.
I had heard some bad things recently about track days at Bedford, and people being black flagged for so much as getting their tyres to squeal (okay a slight over embellishment but get the point) however I have to say yesterday was one of the most sensibly run events I have ever done, so a big thank you to motorsport vision.

964RS is the car to buy, fantastic.
They were about 25-30K when I first looked, a good one will be 30-35k now.
Bedford always seem to be very tolerant of hooligan driving as long as you are not getting in anyones way....they don't loud cars though

Are there many Right-hookers around? I know you will say you should get LHD but computer says no
I failed the static noise test, but they did a lap with the instructor and I crept under the limit and never tripped it all day!

I've got some good camera footage of my outside rear wheel with the bullet camera, You should see how much the tyre moves looks like its gonna come off the rim.
When i suss out how to get it onto my computer i will post up some clips

What are your thoughts on the 993 RS as a drivers car compared with the 964? I love the look of the 993, possibly my favourite shape of the 911's until the new 997.

And also how much do they sell for? Not a single one for sale on that site or on pistonheads. I take it they are harder to find than the 964?

993 RS are stupidly expensive, you'd get a good GT3 for the less.
The one below has a bit of 'history' so I am informed.

Nikon D70 with 70-200m F2.8
They look a lot better in full res but obviously for web use they're a bit big!
