Yep, any low 9 second 1/4 mile car does around that time.

A Top Fuel dragster doing a 300mph 5.0 sec pass gets to 100 in under 1 second

Don't knock the car for what it is, it was built for a purpose and it walked away with TOTB this year

Why not get an old F1 car for TOTB? Seems all the top runners are getting so far removed from road cars and are purpose built specials, it wouldn't be out of place.

The local residents complain about F1 cars

I know what you're saying, but regulations are not set by the competitors.

how did the RS boys do this year

Some info and times.

We hired Santa Pod Today to do some testing and in an attempt to improve our times (probably stupid considering its late December!)
Well we had MAJOR traction issues due to the cold weather, 15-20Mph head wind and the second triple plate clutch in a week gave up after trying to tame 739LbFt! (Quad plate next!)
Results were;
60 Feet: 1.734 Seconds
Best ET: 9.556 Seconds
Best Terminal: 158.31 Mph
Best 1/8th Terminal: 126.78 Mph
0-100Mph: 4.95 Seconds
0-150Mph: 8.83 Seconds
The above returns all UK Evo drag related records back to ND!
We have learned a lot from todays testing and have some more changes planned to finally catch our 8 second quarter next year. These times were recorded using full treaded Nitto 555R tyres.
Cheers
Simon

I don't hate the car at all, Norris have done very well.

Just don't see the point. They've created a well handling drag car, doesn't run road tyres, doesn't do those figures on road fuel and I bet it's not driven to any events. Basis for my F1 comment.

If they drove it to the event on road tyres and road fle, ten drove away, then it'd be impressive. lthough 60-100mph in 1.9 sconds isn't too shabby
