I am sure when (IF) they bring it out it will look different to the test mule in the pictures, afterall,it will be the range topper so they will want to make it look different to the ST,and all i can say is that if it is half as good as the last Focus RS it will be a fantastic car.................it just needs more than 300BHP!!!

The chattering noise you hear is turbo stall not the wastegate common mistake as most people are told this.
the noise is the air going back and hitting the turbo blades when you shut the throttle.

looks like an ST nothing special there!
If ford want to do well with this one they need to pull there socks up and start making something different that will catch peoples eyes.
They should stick with the ST unless they plan on radically changing the appearance

Ferrari used a 575 as test mule for the 599 GTB.
Ford, or any other manufacturer are hardly likely to start testing a new car with the sales room finished look, are they.
Personnaly, I think the new RS will be out in summer/autumn 2008, so theres plenty of time for them to sort the styling out.

lol, quote "The sound of the 300-bhp engine was unmistakable..". Hows that then..?
This guy should work for a top F1 team if he can tell BHP by listening to an engine, oh and just think, all those dyno's will be redundant now..!..

I said above they don't run a DV.
Plenty of people run without DV's,no body does it on Impreza's so we don't know how strong the turbos are.

As much as I would like to see another mega fast 4x4 Turbo Ford, I doubt the company can afford the R&D costs, the FMC is nearly bankrupt guys!
I think this is journalists dreaming again.
We live in hope, but this is unlikely to become a reality, it's more likely Renault will by Ford in 2008.

I mis-read your post, standard cars run DV's and are Re-Circ ones and are sometimes referred to as noise supression devices.
Rally cars run without one as said by topbombingkid.
Plus they have something called anti lag.

There should be a RS focus seeing as mazda has a 270hp 4wd focus chassis'd car for sale and volvo are supposedly also gonna release a near 300hp c30 which rides the focus chassis so why wouldnt the focus get a 300hp motor stuck in it?
