Default Best hothatch

So what you guys reckon is the best hothatch. Im not just talking allout track performance or speed, but one thats the best for everyday use on the commute and track, and a sensible long term ownership buy, so reliabilty, and comfort all play a big role.

So whats the best hothatch? Vote!

I say the seat leon cupra R.

Golf chassis' with most agressive suspension setup of all VAG hot hatches and more power than the Golf GTI for less money.

Out of your choices I'd say Leon Cupra R.....

..... But of all time, absolutely has to be the Escort Cosworth

Civic Type-R easily.

AFAIK, it's still the fastest around the ring out of that lot. Definitely faster than the MK V Golf GTI and hence the R32

Focus ST.......long term ownership......can you say depreciation ?

Clio 182........ mine broke down more times than Pauline Fowler !

AS an all round long term prospect the mk5 Golf GTI wins hands down.

Out of that lot I'd be looking for an 18 month old Focus ST, but the wife would veto that and go for a Golf of the same age.

Thats everything considered including total cost of running
