I'm looking at changing the car for either Passat PD130 or Mondeo TDCI130. there's a new Mondeo coming out next year, launched I think in Spring.
Given that we'd be looking at about 3 years old (£6-7k), will the new car have a noticable effect on used prices?
in other words should I wait?

What has happened before with launches of big names like this?

I may got for the Passat, in which case it doesn't matter...

 

I would have thought the impact will be greater 9 months to a year after the launch of the new one mate, once the new ones start to hit the second hand market.

I wouldn't think a 3 year old one will be effected too badly by that anyway. More likely to the current shape ones that are selling now.
