What one????
Wife wants a small 4X4 so I got her to narrow it down to these,
1.Suzuki Grand Vitara(New) either diesel or petrol
2.Toyota Rav4(New)
3.Shogun Sport(Used)
Anyone with experience of owning any of these please feel free to post a reply.
Cheers

Rav4 - 3dr or 5dr, petrol or diesel, brand new or last year's?
I have a MY03 diesel, v functional but a bit gutless and a little noisy at illegal motorway speeds, otherwise Ronseal. Latest one has a 2.2 rather than 2.0 engine I believe, as well as other changes.
One guy on here had issues with his paint (black) and swears he'll never touch them again. Diablo had one and loved it.
Shogun Sport - Don't Think So. Supposed to be v. agricultural.
Latest Vitara looks a lot like the Rav4, much more solid than previously.

Mom has new grand vitara and jus got rid of Shogun.
Value of shogun plummeted and sounded like a bag of spanners after 3 year.
Vitara seems better put together and is more of a real car!!

Girlfriends mum has a new diesel rav 4. Excellent car. Have borrowed it a few times and would highly recommend it. I would imagine the vitara would be very similar but why not consider the new Hyundai santa fe. It looks smart and comes with 5 year warranty. I have allways liked the look of the shogun sports and L200 pickups but several people have told me they really are designed for the farm and cabt really compete with the new breed of japanese small 4x4's.
