Cool Just test-drove a Nissan 350Z

Took a 350Z out this morning for a 2hr test-drive. Decided to 1st take it down some lanes, then onto a nice smooth A-road.
Great car, sounded nice. Plenty of low down torque, and high end power when you need it! I couldn't believe the steering response. Quite a quick rack and felt very connected to the road, better than my old Scoob. Had loads of grip, given the roads being quite wet here this morning. Only saw the traction light flicker once when I floored it from a junction in 1st.

The model I tried was a GT finished in black with Rays alloys. Had all the toys like leather heated seats, bose 6-disc in-dash/cassette player, cruise etc. Very impressed indeed until I came to park it on my drive..........

It bottomed out as my driveway slopes downward from the slight upward pavement. Tried it again at a different angle but it still caught. Couldn't believe it as my old Impreza never suffered this problem.
Totally gutted as I was seriously thinking of purchasing one of these.
The dealership were very understanding and not at all pushy. Does anyone know if the council would agree to modifying the pavement so to smooth out the ridge between it and my drive?

Re the pavement - sounds unlikely !

Re the car - would defo be on my list if I was buying another car in a few years time. The others being various Scoobs and Evo's.

Years ago my parents had the same issue with their drive. Council agreed to add some tarmac to the road leading up to the pavement, as this made the change in angles less of an issue.

Other options are a ramp that you put out and take in each time (pain)

Or altering your drive, but that is likely to cost a lot

chip up the tarmac/pavement so it sticks up, then contact the council and tell them you've tripped on it and are considering a personal injury case...

It was suggested to me to do this by a PI solicitor friend where the drop curb into our development was not wide enough.

I'm also qualified to deal with PI claims : that's why I reckon it might work !!
