Bug Eyed Peas

The wife is having real trouble selecting gears, especially 1st, sometimes goes into 3rd when 1st has been selected. I have driven it and it does the same to me. Anybody knows what it could be, clutch plate perhaps. I checked the oil and its fine etc. Just difficult selecting 1st gear.
Its booked in tomorrow at the garage, just need some upfront info.

Thanks guys it was the gear linkage unit, £113 fitted ouch.
Its all done now, pain in the ar$e though. It only adds to my limited mechanical knowledge

All in all £240. I know it sounds steep, but worth every penny if its going to save your life
