I have an m3 e46 manual and have put 100cel race cats on it along with middle section, supersprint lightweight rearbox,k&n panal filter and a remap which also de-limits it, with all that you get around 30bhp extra

Currently looking at the re-maps for mine, they are about £650 and 20bhp, with the full Miltek exhaust it bumps it up to over £2800 and an extra 10bhp on top, over 2 grand for a system is a bit dear!!!! But!!!!!

Alot of people just put the 100cel cats on, which for me made it breath a bit better at the top end of the rev range but i wanted a bit more noise.
I managed a 13.6sec on the 1/4 mile strip standard, and now ive just done it again and did a 13.29sec

I wouldn't remotely consider tuning an E46 M3 without brake upgrades and doing something about the skipping around when the surface turns uneven or undulating (worse on those lovely 19s). The gains are small for the cash unless you supercharge or turbocharge it. The warranty is everything for resale. Many look for 53- plates to avoid the big end bearing issues and the first of the fixed lot have just come out of the 3 year warranty. My 04 M3 was losing £900 a month, I bought and sold well and had the right colour and spec but still got hammered, don't add to it by tuning it IMHO.

Love the E46 M3, but thats heavy depreciation! I have to admit since the newer shape 3series Coupe came out the old E46 is now suddenly starting to look very dated. Few years and they'll all be falling into the hands of low-lifes

Had the car with me today, i noticed that the front wheels scuff the inner wheel arches when turning slowly, apart from that i havent got a complaint. The car came with hard top. Its MY04 Carbon black with red leather

Not trying to knock the fella, but 17, god i was barely mature enough to tie my own shoe laces, let alone be able to think clearly enough that i wanted to be a plumber, own company etc etc. It is true kids grow up far faster than i ever did
