Lol, nah don't know much about that, only driven a CDI same as yours (but the new 3.0) out of the current E range.
Have driven an E55AMG quite a lot (older n/a one) though and that was very impressive.
Looks like the new E500 is 388BHP which makes it about as quick/powerful as the old n/a E55 then. Thats plenty quick enough to see off most cars and do it in super smooth style.
The new E63 AMG looks fantastic!

The E i have is a 55 so i am sure its the current range.
Just been on & spec'd up a E63 AMG ............. if it wasnt for me building a house i would be seriously thinking about one. I am going to go looking for an E55 or the E63.

The diesel range is weird.....the E280 CDI and E320 CDI both have the same 3.0 engine but in differnent state of tune as from the start of this year where as before they used a 2.7 for the E270 and a 3.2 for the E320

Looks like they're sticking that new 6.3 n/a V8 in a few other models too
ML63AMG anyone
how much is that going to annoy Cayenne Turbo and X5 drivers
