This thing sounds amazing!!

Must be challenging the Veyron for top end and acceleration, would love to see a side by side 0-250MPh sprint between them.

I doubt its going to cost a million pound though, probably closer to £300 garnd, so about a third of the price of a Veyron, id rather have about 2 miles an hour top speed less, and £700 000, than the Veyron.
I think its amazing they were able to keep the weight that low too, its a hell of a supercar.
Whats the official, proven top speed of the Veyron anyway? has it posted an official time yet? I would imagine BHP/Ton, the CCX would be ahead, so potentially in a 0-250MPh race, would have the advantage.
I really love the Veyron, the only thing that I dont admire about it is it uses a lot of its power to overcome its enormous weight, and that could disadvantage it against the competition, it seems moe like a museum piece than something you could thrash aroud the roads.

I think all this "TOP SPEED" nonsense, is just that, Nonsense. Where can you do 250mph, or ONLY 240mph? Nowhere. A 2 mile air strip is probably too short for this.
Where I think they Veyron wins over all it's competitors, is in gear acceleration times. I'd rather brag about my Veyron doing 0-60 in 2.5 sec, or getting to 200mph faster than a MaClaren F1, who is already doing 125mph before the Veyron started, than say my CCX is 1mph or whatever faster on Top speed.
Another Plus for the Veyron, is it looks easy (relative term) to drive compared to the CCX, where most of the potential customers would find this more appealing than a car where you need the skill of Michael Schumacher to get the best out of it. The Veyron is Luxurious, against the stripped out feel of the CCX, Enzo.
If you were rich enough to afford a Veyron, your probably going to go for one, rather than saving a few quid by getting a CCX.

Cant be bothered with all this decision making, ill get one of each...
How much do you think they'd give me part ex on my Astra?
I think the CCX is only being compared to the Veyron due to similar top speeds, but the price difference puts them in totally different classes.
The CCX vs the Lambo's, Zonda's, and Ferrari's currently out makes it a pretty interesting competitor.

I am still dubious about the power claims and weight until I see a CCX do offical times to 100 etc, eg near 5secs to 100. Even when Evo mag tested the older CCR in the dry it got no where near its potential for its power per weight.
