Yeh he is very good ,,BANKSY is a shadow ,never been seen doing his art ,the first picture is about 30+ feet high ,and across the road from the bristol city council offices, ive no idea how he managed this at this location,,There is a classic in stokes croft called "mild mild west" with a teddy bear throwing a petrol bomb at 3 police in riot gear..http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?im...l%3Den%26lr%3D

He lost it for me when he did that piece for The Independent at Bono's request.

Any self-respecting person would have told the poisonous little egomaniac tw@t to **** off.

Bono = ****

The guy is simply a vandal - ok he might also be a talented artist, but Im sure you'd change your tune if you woke up one morning to find his "art" on the wall of your house or car.

Actually I'd be quite happy to have something on the side of my house, it beats boring old bricks

Anything that disturbs some of the greyhairs round here is fine by me

Thats extremely impressive! Clearly a lot of talent there - and obviously the paintings arent permanent.

Good wall art is not the same as most urban graffiti imo. I'd be happy to have a banksy on my house, or even my car tbh, but tagging is completely different and just a bit ****e.

Have to agree, OK there may be one or (at the most) two talented artist's out there but the trouble starts when all the chavy ***** start emulating them......

I'd be surprised if you could recognise your face in a mirror but nonetheless I don't want to take your ambition away.

Very good. Now let me promise you I can recognise a coward a mile off. If you want to take a pop then fair enough, but come out of hiding first. No more responses from me after this and sorry to the thread starter for my part in ******* it up.

I have to agree with Pete,

I deal with graffiti and it's effects and it's not pleasant.

Anyone thinking banksy is just an artist should read his comments.

Graffiti vandals are scum, they are the type of people who will key your car, usually low achievers who perform small time crime.

Cheers
Lee

Well i gotta disagree with you.. i have met banksy quite a few times now and he certainly isnt as you discribe, plus i also know alot of professional 'graffiti artists'
that get paid a hell of alot of money for what they do and as such they get alot of business from people wanting them to brighten up there high st shops with there art..and again none of them are criminals or vandals or low achivers just bright young talented artists!
