My father in-law has an AMG C43. It currently puts out about 382BHP but he's looking to put it just over 400BHP. A local garage has offered to remove and send off his ECU to a tuning place they use, but say there may not be much else they can do with it.
Has any of the ECU experts ever had and experience or have much knowledge of the ECU that would be fitted, or whether this would be a standard Mercedes ECU or if AMG would have fitted their own.
Any help or advice would be welcomed, as he's expected to be charged for this service without any garuntee that anything will be achieved.

The C43 is na as compared to the C32 which is supercharged. I'm not sure you'll get an extra 20 BHP from it. I find the car ( C32) has more power than it can really cope with and money would be far better spent improving the handling ie ? stiffer springs. The other thing some companies do is remap the ECU for the gearbox, which gives it more aggressive changes and changes down less at the wrong time ( or so they say)
