Got a Mx5 auto import and the mpg is p!ss poor, running on regular unleaded and thought of putting optimax in, would this improve anything.

I thought about trying optimax also in our manual MX5, I don't think petrol consumption is one of there strong points.
Still, there are plenty of good points

yep, its been a top car, had it 2years and only needed plug leads upto yet but the paints flaking a bit on the bonnet, otherwise the best second hand car weve bought.

When himself isn't looking I always put super unleaded in my MX5 which too is an import - it improves the performance immensely, now I'm able to lose the back end quicker on bends than before.

I'm finding the consumption averaging about 26 - 29 mpg depending... but not bad really considerating...

have you ever tried to sell yours - I've been trying unsuccessfully for months - no takers..
