s2000 prices
hey all,
it seems to me that at the moment, most s2k's are hovering around the 10k barrier. I dont know if it applies to these, but dont most cars drop considerably as soon as the 10k barrier is passed? If so any ideas when thats likely to happen? I guess the end of the summer...

(I'm not interested in CatDs and S2ks in excess of 90,000 miles.)

well yes, they are cat d's and some are 70-80k miles. saying that, most of those are around the 8k mark.
seems the s2k gets written off an awful lot!
but the point still stands - the elise was at this stage a few years ago, seemed stuck above 10k, as soon as it broke through prices collapsed...

Probably mine you're thinking of. To be fair seems that I got quite a good deal and they guy needed to sell as was emmigrating. However re the Elise, unless it's a very poor example you'd be hard pushed to find many under 8.5k, and most are around the 9k mark, not quite a collapse though

Great cars with great engines and gearbox and most powerful n/a engines in the world with 118bhp/litre. (excluding the rotary RX8's 1.3 with 231bhp iirc)

They are classed as 2.6 officially arent they?
RE S2000 prices - you get what you pay for as with most things. Wouldnt touch a CATD with anyones bargepole. Some of the damage to the chassis can be absolute mega bucks to fix, and it sometimes doesnt take much.
