XC90 2.4 DIESEL SE ...Manual or Auto?
It it a bad idea to purchase one of these cars in a Manual, as opposed the Geartronic Auto?
Why do people prefer the auto so much? Who has one and can offer me guidance?
And is there a Volvo/XC90 forum anybody knows of?

Get the auto. I dont see why any one would want a manual these days in a car that wasnt designed to go fast. Plus when you come to sell it one you will have a easier time although I doubt you would have trouble selling even if it was a manual.

I have driven a Discovery 3 manual and it is bloody awful - 4x4 style cars feel so cumbersome - you just need to sit and enjoy the ride without the added hastle of changing gear.
