Default Landrover Discovery TD V6 tuning?

Hi,

My Dad has just bought a Landrover Discovery TD V6. Can anyone suggest some decent firms who do performance upgrades for it? I was thinking along the lines of a remap/chip.

Cheers,

Graham

Discovery TDV6

WAS: 190 bhp
CHIP: 230 bhp
WAS: 325 lb/ft
CHIP: 400 lb/ft

These chaps have looked after my tuning needs for just over 2 years now. They run a TD5 there, so they are into their Land Rovers. Totally recomended.

Thanks guys. We live in Edinburgh, so does anyone know of any companies near by? Or is it easy enough to fit the chip at home? I was thinking of trying Dastek in Fife.

Also, it strikes me that there are quite a few different chips available, are some considerably better than others? Is it worth looking at a remap rather than a chip?

Cheers

A custom rolling road tune is by far the best and most expensive. I would probably try the dastek dealer as it is local and any problems are easily solved if they arise. Generic maps are not bad, but diesels that haven't been mapped properly smoke like mad, so it is easy to tell which are the bad ones. Give them a ring and see what they say.

Thanks, I'll be getting in touch with Dastek soon.

I only know of 1 tuner in Scotland and that is AVA near Glasgow airport...

I know Motorsport Developments in Blackpool (3 hour drive) get great results from diesels.
