The MGZT is well built and handles nice but always feels big and heavy. The early versions had a very hard ride, too firm in most peoples opinion, later versions (around 03 I think) were softened up a bit and had the harder suspension as a "Sports" package.
The 190 is quick but you will miss the midrange of a turbo car. The KV6 doesn't have much bottom/mid end torque but loves to rev so you have to work the gearbox to get the perfomance. Unfurtunately because you need to use the revs economy suffers, expect low 20's mpg unless your cruising.
Cheers

My dad has one and loves it, I have driven it and it handles well, its quick-ish but not ballistically so, seems well made and no problems so far. MPG is about 24 to 28, I think that given the Rover 75 looking so grandad, they look really purposeful. What are you used to, wont feel quick after a Scoob.
Pictured here with my uncles virtually identical ZT 260 V8, which has since been fitted with straight through pipes and sounds awesome.

My brother in law got one of these a month or so ago after looking at them for some time ...... he is well pleased with it - quick enough, so smooth and with a subtle V6 burble. Interior is good and seats very supportive. I was surprised just how good a quality the interior was!
Only downside seems to be fuel consumption ..... but that is to be expected as it's a V6.

My brother has one for a company car (he sells them too). It's a lovely car - great handling, fairly rapid, much nicer interior than a Scooby, looks aggressive on the road, and the sound off of the V6 and exhaust is wonderful.
Huge discounts off "new" ones at the moment too. Not quite the same, but a bloke in my road just bought himself an 06 ZT-T CDTi for £16k, instead of £23k!

You should hear the v8 on straight thru pipes !
Will post a vid/sound clip, when I learn how.

Got a ZTT - love it. Great inside with all the toys(same kit as a 3 series BMW), handles well, very comfortable, looks good and was very cheap. £8k for an 04 with only 20,000 miles.
Only downside is fuel consump around mid 20's. Not the instant surge of the scoob(had 3) but will say it compares very well with my last car which was a BMW 328.
