unlike the "fragile" subaru engine you can mod it without fitting an aftermarket ecu, you can do a normal oil change without fear of the big end going, you can run any uk fuel without fear of the engine packing in, you can even drive the **** out of it without worrying

 

Very cheap to mod to 300bhp, and will be reliable at that level.
Very over engineered, gearboxs are good up to 500bhp+. Fensport have run 650bhp on a GT4 box.
Getting over about 320bhp will require forged internals, bigger turbo, fuelling etc.
Very cheap at the moment with good examples going as cheap as 4k. Best thing about them is they are not common and most people dont even know whats under the bonnet of them!
