Been seriously looking for a VI and found what I thought was the perfect car. Lowish mileage, totally standard, except exhaust and filter, full history etc etc. Luckily this car is on a certain BBS and after an examination of the users posts over the years it turns out the car into more of a lemon than a desirable object. Why o why do people blantently lie when it is so easy to see the truth. Will email the seller later to let him know his for sale post is a crock of ****.

What gets me is the fact that the "only" modifications carried out are....
then he forgets to mention
the ralliart ECU he has removed and sold
the EVCR that caused boosting problems
the tapping noises (probably badly fitted EVCR solinoid)
the smells inside from block AC
more boosting problems
turbo timer upsetting electronics
fuel pump and headlight issues when indicating
and thats in the past year
Still looks a good car but what was a nice ad is somewhat ruined by history. Not against mods but too many dodgy bits put me off.

He states quite clearly the "only modification are....." then if you look at history he has blatently lied. Not fussed about some of the issues but if your paying a premium for an unmolested VI thats what I would expect. What other lies are out there....will probably buy a VI from the Lancer BBS as it will hopefully be a cared for example and you get a view of its history from historic posts.
