Talking Well, I've just left Scoob-dom for ...........

An Audi. Why?

1. Got a labrador - needed a big boot, but couldn't justify changing to a Sport Wagon.
2. Getting a little tired of the image problem associated with the Impreza - not the sort of image my job requires
3. Just really fancied a change

Don't get me wrong - I love my Impreza, but I just want to try something new. This has been my 2nd Impreza in 6 years - time for something else.

So, what have I bought then?

Audi S4 Avant (2.7 V6 Bi-turbo) with BOSE stereo & Leather.

Just waiting for all the details and I can pick it up soon

Don't panic, I won't be leaving Scoobynet - I love it too much

I just got a dog and contemplated selling my saloon but missus has a saxo hatchback. He will have to travel in there! Like the Audi though , good solid car, look much nicer with some RS4 wheels

Nice. Bet that is rapid. I'm leaving Scoobdom for this...

Pick it up tomorrow. Whole list of parts are ordered and in a month or so it'll be quicker than the scoob 0-100mph

What impressed me most, was whilst I love the being "pushed into the back of the seat" feeling with the Scoob (read as Turbo lag!!! ). the V6 in the Audi is SOOOOO smooth
+ the only thing better than 1 turbo........... is 2 turbos

There was just no need to change gear - brutal accelleration in all gears

Can't wait - Miltek beckons - just don't tell wifey

The Audi`s a lovely car, a few more creature comforts and lovely and smooth to go with it, i don`t think you will miss the scoob too much.

Enjoy your new one

Really like Audi's and the S4 has a small place in my heart.. right next to the big place occupied by the RS4!!

I doubt you'll miss the Impreza for long mate.

Cheers,
Grant

I intend to get an S4 later this year, Are there any Uk forums for these? I can only find American ones.
Oh, & MTM chip + Milltech + twin VTA's are on the list too
Maybe even turbo changes to RS4 ones LOL

I left scoob-dom yesterday too, just sold my STI5 Type R, before that I had a P1 and a UK Turbo.

Just bought this, collecting it on friday. A 2002 Golf 2.3 V5.

The only problem with the S4, is the seats are too hard. After about an hour or so, your back starts to ache.
Nice car though, my old man had one years ago (black saloon).

Picked mine up today
Really chuffed.
Driving the 170 miles back, noted circa 30mpg, and a MUCH nicer ride than my classic Scooby (bl00dy sight quieter too!! )
The seats in my Scoob - the backs were/are BRILLIANT! The base is cr@p - after driving the 340 miles last time, my ar$e hurt Not so with the Audi.

One happy bunny (that's staying on Scoobynet too!! )

TBH, as long as it's got a good FASH with plenty of paperwork, there's no reason why it shouldn't just keep on going.

Dan <off to get a dog guard this afternoon - Audi wanted £80 for one!! >

I also left the scooby world last week when I sold my MY04 STI PPP

Went to our local Audi dealer on Wednesday and ordered a brand new 06 Audi A4 1.9 TDI SE in this colour, hopefully pick it up in 2 weeks

After 2 scoobs I'm now looking forward to 50+ MPG and a nice, comfortable drive
