Yup a right bargain!
If you have an extra 6k though id look at the astra 888 1.9 cdti, 200bhp turbo diesel, full recaro int etc, looks the bees knees

Yeah I have one. Great little car and I have remapped it to 180 odd bhp and 295 ibft torque. In this weather it's hard keeping traction though ! Cheap to insure, fast enough in gear, and very solidly built - cant beat it I say.

I hope these little buggers have traction control??? Quite fancy one as a 2nd car. If I was in a far better paying job.

Arron - had it done at a VW specialist called MEGA 4 in Surrey. The car is in warranty and yes in theory if you remap the warranty is void. BUT before I bought I asked my local dealers and they said no problem - they would honour the warranty even if it was remapped. Also I have a switch to put it back to standard. Now, a dealer could check and download everything from the chip and see there are 2 maps - but this is pretty unlikely !! (Revo put their map on the chip in addition to the standard map).

I nearly bought one a year ago, but the only thing that put me off was the boaty handling. I found the Seat Ibiza with the TDI 130 engine, a much better handling car.

My friend had his Seat Leon TDI 130 Revo'd there, and has been singing it's praises since!

I'll probably take my Golf TDI 150 there Mega4 is apparently the biggest reseller of the Revo in UK.

The Astra 1.9td 888 was being advertised at autosport international (a white one was on display) and i think its due out in march?
200bhp and full recaro int, anthracite coloured alloys, looked very nice but couldnt get on vauxhalls website yesterday

This is the only thing i can find on it

The current TDi Vaux engine seems to be 2.0L block.

The Autoexpress article is from 2004 and suggested a 2005 launch

Chipping the Fabia will invalidate your VAG warranty. If the dealership says it won't they are lying. They may carry out some work for you but if the car is inspected by someone from Skoda as part of the warranty work, you may be knackered!

Hiya Steve
These are the 1.9 CDTI engined cars vauxhall had the 888 CDTi 200bhp production car on their stand and it looked pretty good!
It should be a right monster with 200bhp, though im not so sure about the torque steer

I have a VRS as well - chipped with the Generic Jabba map (between 180 - 190bhp @ 300 - 320lb/ft), very lively mid range / top end.
The only downside to the chip is more smoke on torque but this helps to get the boy racers to back off

These are great cars, group 9 insurance, average 45mpg around town, 65-75 on a steady run, £115pa road tax

Have a look on www.briskoda.net for reviews / advice

Only some remaps smoke more - mine doesn't and has similar power figures, but i spent a whole day with chiptuning having the rica software installed on a rolling road. The results are much better, and it smokes as much, or as little, as a standard car.

Mine is a RICA map from Chiptuning UK in Bromsgrove.

http://www.chiptuninguk.com/chiptuning/frames.asp

This is the 2nd car that I had mapped and modified by these guys - and so far so I good.

I tested my car 0-60 and I managed to knock 3 seconds of manufactures information, so it is quick and smoke free !

Have you considered the old shape Seat Leon FR 150hp - brand new £13700 see www.seat.co.uk for details of the offer.

I had one of these last year - a fine car and much better interior than the Ibiza at the time.

Arron, I understand the P11d value, but surely if the manufacturers website lists the price as "now £13700 RRP" as is does in the flash animation this would be the P11d value?

Cheers

Edward.

No.
Always the original LIST PRICe.
******* eh.
Going to Peterborough Sat afternoon to order.
Black with Xenons and side air bags.
Thats easy huh.
Delivery March
Apparantly not too many in the system with that spec????
I`ll use it for a while then chip it.
The dealer recommends Superchips as they will honour the warranty with them as they only go to 160 brake so thats probably what I will do at first service.
