Hi All

Any land cruiser owners out there that could help?

My dad has just recently bought a 1999 Toyota land cruiser 'VX' 4.2 TD Auto

On the V5 that has just come back it says it's a GX yet he bought it as a VX.

I have been trying to find out what the differences are between the two models so we can work out if the V5 is wrong or if he has been sold a GX as being a VX.

When googling all I can find are the more recent land cruiser models and spec.

Can anyone enlighten me as to the differences or direct me to a good web site?

VX has in addition to GX spec:-

Elec Tilt/Slide Sunroof
Leather Upholstery
Wood Trim
Elec Steering Wheel Adjustment
Elec Passenger Seat Adjustment
Roof Rails
Steering Wheel and Door Mirror Memory.

**** me if your dads car is not fitted with this kit then sounds like a big difference in spec and also that would make a diffrence in some way to the value!

I know what you mean Paul, he bought the car believing that it was VX spec and did the deal on this basis. When the V5 came back with GX he was ....erm...mildly concerned!
