FQ 300
driven my first evo today fq300 and i must say it didnt blow my mind! my own car is a 300bhp classic scooby and not being biased the scooby feels quicker! i also noticed how bumpy the ride is and how jerky the car becomes around town, to be honest i was considering an evo for my next car but im proud to say im sticking with the scooby range
any other scooby owners tried the evo and agree???

yep agree the sus would need sorting and ive heard mark snead (madevelopments)is the man for the remap and then it would blow my mind im sure!
nice 2 see someone with both cars tho, ive only done about 20miles in the evo so i recon i have'nt experienced its full potential.

I swapped my bugeye for an EVO VII and to be honest I've never looked back (apart from to see the impreza getting smaller )
I would however consider an Impreza again, that is until the EVO X is released

I drove one of those a few years ago. My lasting memory is that it gave me back ache, something my 800 mile a week WRX never did.
The FQ320 addressed a lot of the problems with the ride.
I preferred my old WR1 to both of them though. That's why i bought one.

Petrol wise it`s better than my old MY03 STI (265bhp) and it`s got 345bhp, strange really. But it doesn`t make up for the massive service costs.

Drove a 340bhp Evo 7 RS, and was considering getting rid of my 04 WRX, The only thing which I didnt like was the brakes, which felt like they where made of wood.
Also the rear diff kept banging every time I changed gear and gave it some, which would have put me off after a bit, other than that I thought it was very quick.

Evo and Scoob might be aimed at the same market, but completely unlike each other in many respects. Had both at the same time for a few months, and, although I can think of cars I would replace the Evo with, it wouldn't be another Scoob. Not meant as a criticism, and others will obviously have the opposite view....fair enough.
Nearly traded my WRX in last year for a MR VIII FQ320. Great car, but I couldn't justify the servicing (intervals/costs), insurance and part prices. I know its a quicker, rarer and a better handling car but to me 80% of the time the scoob does the job and doesn't represent nearly a 50% rise in running costs. These are my thoughts and possibly might change when the EVO X comes out
